GRIEVANCES REDRESS COMMITTEE

Composition

The composition of the complaints cum Redress committee shall be: Headed by senior Faculty member Heads of All departments Should have at least two senior lady staff members from different department (if available) Should have at least two senior members from B.C., S.C. or S.T. categories (If available)

Functions

1 .To enquire the complaints received from the aggrieved students or staff of the college. Special attention may be given to ragging /exploitation related issues.

2. To recommend to the principal of the college, the penalty to be imposed. The Principal upon receipt of the report from the committee shall, after giving an opportunity of being heard to the person complained against, submit the case with the committee's recommendation to the Governing Body of the colleges. The Governing Body shall confirm with or without modification penalty recommended after duly following the prescribed procedure.
